According to a report from the Department of Health, as of March 18, 2025, Quang Ninh recorded 132 cases of measles, lower than the average number of cases compared to localities across the country.
The fully vaccination rate for children under 1 year old will reach 12.4%, (reaching 13.1% of the 2025 plan). Of which, the measles vaccination rate for 9-month-old children reached 12.66%.
According to the plan to implement the second measles vaccination campaign in 2025 of the Ministry of Health, Quang Ninh needs to vaccinate over 27,000 doses of measles, measles - rubella vaccine to ensure the vaccination plan.
Localities with high numbers of measles infections such as Ha Long city, Mong Cai, Cam Pha and Quang Yen town are stepping up the screening of children of all ages, children who have not been vaccinated enough and are ready to do so when they have vaccines.

Master, Doctor Doan Ngoc Thuy - Director of Mong Cai City Medical Center - said: "The health stations have screened all children from 6 months to 9 months old and from 1 year to 10 years old.
Currently, the total number of un vaccinated children is 1,206. The health centers and health stations of communes and wards have been fully prepared, just waiting for the vaccine to arrive will implement an immediate vaccination campaign, expected to be completed in one day."
According to the plan, the vaccination will be held simultaneously, each vaccination point will have an on-duty emergency team. After March 30, 2025, localities will review and get vaccinated to ensure community immunity.
