On the morning of August 18, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, Director of Long An General Hospital, Tay Ninh province, said that the unit had just received and successfully resuscitated a male patient with an incident related to the intimate area.
According to initial information, patient L.Q. T. (resident of Long Cang commune, Tay Ninh province) was admitted to the hospital in a painful condition. The young man's penis was stuck inside a two-headed iron bayonet, size 17-19mm.
The patient said that before that, due to curiosity, he had inserted his genitals into the 19mm curve of the bayonet. After that, this area became swollen, making it impossible for the patient to remove it himself.
Faced with the complicated situation, the hospital's Board of Directors and the on-duty leadership force immediately activated the inter-specialized coordination process to handle it.
Through examination, doctors determined that the patient had a foreign object-induced penis injury. The team determined that using conventional metal cutting tools could cause heat dissipation or serious damage to soft tissues.
After consideration, doctors from the Department of Dentistry - Maxillofacial Surgery in coordination with the General Surgery Department decided to use a high-speed dental drill to drill and cut each part of the bayonet meticulously.
Thanks to the smooth coordination and precise operation of the team, the iron bayonet was safely removed. The structure and function of the patient's genitals were preserved intact.
From the above case, doctors recommend that people, especially adolescents, absolutely do not arbitrarily bring foreign objects and foreign objects into their bodies. These behaviors are at risk of causing damage, bleeding, infection, even necrosis and long-term effects on reproductive function.
When unfortunate incidents occur, people need to quickly go to the nearest medical facility for assistance, absolutely do not arbitrarily remove, cut or pull foreign objects at home to avoid unfortunate consequences.
