On January 22, Thach Han Regional Health Center (Quang Tri province) confirmed that on January 20, this unit received patient T.T.H in a state of fatigue, pain in many areas of the legs and back, limited movement, occasionally experiencing discomfort throughout the body.
After clinical examination, the doctor prescribed regular X-rays. The results showed images of many small, rice grain-shaped tapeworm cysts scattered in the tissues of the femur and calf.
Doctors initially diagnosed the patient with tapeworm cyst infection, and at the same time prescribed transfer to higher levels for in-depth tests and treatment according to appropriate protocols.
Doctors recommend that people comply with disease prevention measures in daily life such as eating cooked food, drinking boiled water; maintaining hygiene in the residence, ensuring a ventilated environment; vermifuging every 6 months and periodic health check-ups.
