On the afternoon of July 23, 2025, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital received emergency care for a male patient in critical condition after a serious traffic accident on Kham Thien Street (Hanoi).
The victim was Mr. N.V.T (58 years old, residing in Tuong Mai, Hanoi). According to initial information, while walking on Kham Thien Street, Mr. T was suddenly hit by a car that lost control, causing multiple serious injuries. People quickly gave first aid and took the victim to Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in critical condition.
At the time of admission, Mr. T. was diagnosed by doctors with an exfoliation of the left buttock area, suspected traumatic brain injury, jaw injury, closed chest and abdominal injury. After an emergency consultation, the medical team performed emergency surgery to save the patient's life.
Mr. T.'s health condition is still being actively monitored at the hospital. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the authorities.
The accident occurred at the Van Chuong - Kham Thien - Cong Trang intersection (Hanoi) during rush hour on the afternoon of July 23, when a blue Ford Raptor pickup truck lost control, crashed onto the sidewalk, crushing 6-7 motorbikes parked, causing many people to panic.
Immediately afterwards, the ward police and traffic police arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and handle the incident. The accident caused serious traffic jams and attracted many people to watch.
Mr. Tung Nguyen - a rescue participant - said that he and the people and police lifted a car and rescued a man trapped under the car, injured but still alert. The victim was then taken to the emergency room.
