On April 5, Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic Trauma Hospital informed that the unit had just performed surgery on a female patient (30 years old) after the patient was injured while playing pickleball. The patient was admitted to the hospital on the evening of April 3.
The X-ray results show that the patient has a broken 1/3 between the left thigh bone. The surgery is considered difficult by the patient as high as 1m78, the fracture line down along the left thigh bone, multiple piduses overlapping. The doctor must perform a small incision, avoiding the aesthetics of the patient but must ensure enough fixation to prevent foot away after 1 day of surgery.
In addition, patients are required to return to play sports as soon as possible. Therefore, the surgical team must carefully consider the issue of choosing a bone combination tool before surgery. After that, the doctor had to advise and explain to the patient about the exercise regimen and recovery after surgery.
Doctors at Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic Trauma Hospital recommend that players should carefully learn about the sport of pickleball, be trained and have a coach to guide them to play according to regulations. Do not follow the trend because sportsmanlike reactions will seriously affect health, psychology and treatment time.
