In document No. 1190/UBND-XDCB, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc assigned the Department of Construction to contact the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to receive and manage the entire dossier of the Gia Binh International Airport Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 in accordance with the provisions of law. At the same time, preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and the People's Committees of the districts: Gia Binh and Luong Tai to manage the boundaries, planning boundaries and manage the construction of surrounding works, to ensure the clearance of Gia Binh International Airport in accordance with the approved planning.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, Dao Quang Khai, has also just signed and issued Decision No. 237/QD-UBND, assigning 9,280 m2 of land in Xuan Lai commune, Gia Binh district to the Gia Binh District Construction Project Management Board to implement the Xuan Lai Commune Central Kindergarten construction project under the component project of compensation, support, resettlement, and return of technical infrastructure for site clearance under the Gia Binh Airport project.
The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to determine boundaries and hand over land on the field; direct the Provincial Land Registration Office to update and edit the land database and cadastral records according to regulations.
Started in December 2024, phase 1 of the Gia Binh airport project with a land use scale of about 125 hectares in Xuan Lai commune and Gia Binh town (Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province) is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Immediately after starting the project, the Mobile Police Command - the investor unit urged contractors to focus maximum human resources and equipment to speed up the project's construction progress. By mid-February, the project had completed 3 routes to the project, filling more than 300,000 m3 of land; and is conducting geological surveys to handle locations with weak land.
During the construction process, the investor and contractors always receive support, agreement and support from local authorities and people.
The Prime Minister requested the Gia Binh airport to be planned to expand into an international airport. Hanoi City has also agreed on the plan to build a nearly 50km, 120m wide road connecting Gia Binh airport with the center of the capital.
Bac Ninh province is completing the site clearance procedures for phase 2 of the Gia Binh airport project.
