According to Article 4 of Decree No. 350/2026/ND-CP, there are regulations on professional preferential allowances for medical staff, the allowance level of 80% is applied to medical professionals who are assigned to regularly and directly perform some specific tasks. These are positions that require high expertise, are frequently in contact with seriously ill patients, are at risk of infection or are under great pressure during care and treatment.
Specifically, the first group includes officials who regularly and directly perform medical expertise in examining, treating, testing and caring for mental patients.
For the field of forensic and psychiatric forensic, officials directly performing expertise are also eligible for this allowance level. These are jobs of a specific nature, requiring professionals to regularly contact special cases, and at the same time bear high pressure on expertise and professional responsibility.
The 80% allowance level is also applied to officials directly involved in emergency resuscitation. This scope includes emergency, intensive care and anti-poison activities. This is an urgent task group, requiring medical staff to regularly handle critical situations that directly threaten the patient's life.
In addition, officials directly involved in pathology also belong to the group subject to the 80% allowance level.
Notably, the policy not only focuses on medical work of special nature but also targets the team working in difficult areas, remote areas, border areas and islands.
Accordingly, medical professionals at commune-level health stations and preventive health facilities in border and island areas are subject to an allowance of 80%.
This allowance level is also for medical professionals at commune-level health stations and preventive health facilities in communes in area II (difficult communes) and area III (particularly difficult communes) belonging to ethnic minority and mountainous areas according to the Government's regulations.
