On the morning of July 18, according to information from Cam Trung commune, a Dengue hemorrhagic fever case was recorded in Trung Linh village.
The patient is P.N. M. K (10 years old, residing in Trung Linh village, Cam Trung commune).
On July 7, K returned to the locality from Ho Chi Minh City. On July 12, he developed symptoms of high fever, headache, and body aches and was taken by his family to Cam Trung Commune Health Station for examination. Test results confirmed that the patient was positive for the Dengue virus.
On July 16, the patient was transferred to Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital for continued monitoring and treatment.
Immediately after detecting the above case, Cam Trung Commune People's Committee directed the urgent implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures, spraying chemicals to kill mosquitoes in the area with the case and neighboring areas to prevent the risk of disease spreading in the community.
Cam Trung Commune People's Committee also recommends that people raise awareness of dengue fever prevention and control by regularly cleaning the environment, removing watery items, killing larvae and pupae; proactively go to medical facilities when there are symptoms such as high fever, headache, body aches or suspected dengue fever to be examined and treated promptly.
Previously, at the beginning of April 2026, Ha Tinh recorded the first dengue fever outbreak of the year in Vung Ang ward.
In early May 2026, a second outbreak appeared in Hoanh Son ward. By June 30, the outbreak in Hoanh Son ward had been announced to have ended.
