On July 17, Mr. Nguyen Huu Chi - Chairman of Ka Do Commune People's Committee - confirmed that people had just discovered a newborn baby boy with his umbilical cord still attached abandoned in a coffee garden in the area.
According to Mr. Chi, thanks to being detected in time, the baby's health is stable. After receiving the information, the Commune People's Committee took the baby to the Don Duong Regional Medical Center for examination, care and health monitoring.
Initially, local authorities assigned people who discovered the baby to continue supporting care.
Previously, on the afternoon of July 16, a resident when passing through the coffee garden area heard a baby crying.
After searching, this person discovered a baby boy with his umbilical cord still attached, abandoned, wrapped in a black shirt and placed in a hat by the roadside.
Immediately after that, the child was taken to a medical facility for health check and the incident was reported to the local authorities.
According to the People's Committee of Ka Do commune, at the time of discovery, the baby was newly abandoned, so it did not affect his health.
Currently, the Ka Do Commune People's Committee has issued a notice to find the relatives of the boy. If the deadline according to regulations expires and no one comes to claim him, the locality will carry out the next procedures according to the provisions of law.
