On June 3, the Lak District Medical Center said that at around 6:00 p.m. on June 2, Mr. Y.S.E's family. (residing in Jun village, Lien Son town, Lak district, Dak Lak province) organized hot pot eating, including the use of mushrooms of unknown type picked in the fields.
After eating, all 7 people in the family had headaches and vomited and were taken to the Lak District Medical Center for emergency treatment by their families.
Due to severe poisoning, 3 out of 7 patients were transferred to the Central Highlands General Hospital for further treatment.
Doctor CKII Huynh Thi Doan Dung - Deputy Head of the Department of Intensive Care - Anti-Poison, Central Highlands General Hospital said that the hospital has received 3 patients including Y.S.E (born in 1989), Y.T.B.D (born in 1998) and Y.L.S (born in 2008) with abdominal pain, vomiting, headache, dizziness, with the initial diagnosis of poisoning due to unclear mushroom intake.
Among the 3 patients, there are people with liver and kidney damage, and they are currently being monitored and actively treated.
Previously, the Intensive Care - Anti-Poison Department, Central Highlands General Hospital also admitted patient L.V.M (residing in Cu cut district, Dak Nong province) to the hospital with abdominal pain, strong vomiting and diarrhea, due to eating unclear mushrooms.
