This morning (June 7), more than 76,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City continued to enter the 3rd exam ( Math) in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that on the first day of the exam (6.), the rate of candidates taking the exam reached over 99%.
Of which, in Literature, there were 76,154/76,435 candidates taking the exam, with 281 students absent (accounting for 0.37%), reaching a rate of 99.63%. The Foreign Language subject has 76,160/76,435 candidates taking the exam, with 275 students absent (accounting for 0.36%), reaching a rate of 99.64%.
This year, the total target of public high schools is 70,070 students, so there will be about more than 6,000 students who will not be admitted.
The exam was held at 142 exam locations (including 132 regular exam locations and 10 specialized exam locations) with 3,558 exam rooms; mobilizing more than 10,000 teachers to be exam attendants and 2,070 service staff.
At each exam location, 3 more reserve rooms are arranged to handle special cases that arise.
Each candidate will participate in 3 subjects: Math, Literature (120 minutes/subject) and Foreign Language (90 minutes, according to foreign language 1 being studied at school). Candidates taking the entrance exam to a specialized school or an integrated class will take an additional exam in a specialized subject or an integrated subject (150 minutes).
The admission score is the total score: Literature score + Foreign language score + Math score + priority and incentive score (if any).
