On the morning of May 26, a representative of Thong Nhat Dong Nai General Hospital confirmed to a reporter from Lao Dong newspaper that they had just admitted 5 patients to the hospital suspected of CO gas poisoning, of which 2 had died.
According to information from the hospital, on the evening of May 25, the hospital received 5 patients who were workers of a ceramic tile manufacturing enterprise in Tan An commune, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai, for emergency treatment due to suspected CO gas poisoning.
After emergency care, 3 patients were temporarily out of danger, while the two patients died.
The two workers who died were Nguyen Long Sang (38 years old, living in Vinh Cuu, Dong Nai) and Nguyen Hoang Quang Le (26 years old, living in Bac Tan Uyen, Binh Duong).
Both were diagnosed with death outside the hospital suspected of CO poisoning.
The remaining three workers being treated at the hospital are Dang Cao Hien (44 years old, living in Bac Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province), Nguyen Tan Huy (34 years old) and Le Van Ngoc (40 years old, all living in Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai), these 3 workers are now alert and have stable vital signs.
