The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has inspected 111 facilities, including 8 cosmetic facilities, 63 pharmaceutical businesses, 21 medical equipment businesses, and 19 medical examination and treatment facilities.
As a result, 41 establishments were handled with a total amount of more than 2.2 billion VND; forced to return 39 million VND for the price of violating exhibits (cosmetics); issued a decision to revoke 122 self-declaration forms for classified medical equipment AB in violation of regulations. At the same time, some violations were transferred to the investigation agency for handling.
During the period of May 31 - June 6, the district and county health departments, Thu Duc City also inspected 202 medical and pharmaceutical establishments in the management area; handled 8 establishments with a total fine of VND 133,500,000.
Common violations in the pharmaceutical sector include trading in drugs of unknown origin, no invoices or documents; buying drugs, selling drugs to establishments without a certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business.

The health sector strongly condemned individuals and organizations that produce and trade counterfeit goods, especially medicine, functional foods, cosmetics, and medical equipment. At the same time, individuals who assist and cover up this activity were condemned for directly affecting the health of users.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health calls on each citizen to join hands to contribute to this fierce battle. The Department of Health has established a hotline and an online Health application to receive feedback from people and handle cases of production, business, and advertising that are not in accordance with regulations. Timely reporting to the authorities will help promptly prevent counterfeit, fake, and airlined goods that meet the quality standards in circulation, reducing the risk of spreading.
