According to the report of La Gi Regional General Hospital to the Department of Health of Binh Thuan Province and the People's Committee of La Gi Town, Women's Maternity V.T.N.C (born in 1993, living in Binh Tan Ward, La Gi Town) came to the hospital's medical examination and admission at the hospital's obstetric department on the morning of May 23 in the situation of labor. By the morning of May 24, after labor and consultation, women were transferred to the operating room. At 8:50 am on the same day, a girl was born.
More than 1 hour later, the pregnant woman showed unusual signs and was consulted, actively resuscitated and treated but did not improve. At 2:00 p.m. the same day, the patient was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC), but on the way back, the patient was in critical condition and was taken to Long Khanh Regional General Hospital for emergency care. Although he received intensive care, it was unsuccessful, and the patient was taken back.
After Ms. C. died, the mother's family reacted at La Gi Regional General Hospital.
Immediately afterwards, the Department of Health of Binh Thuan province issued an urgent dispatch, requesting La Gi Regional General Hospital to quickly report on the incident, the hospital's care and treatment process, and at the same time requesting the urgent establishment of a professional council to determine the cause of maternal death.
The Department of Health also requested the hospital to share, encourage and provide information to Ms. C's family.
