Young man in Ho Chi Minh City has severed his hand due to a kitten rope

HCMC - A young man in Tan Vinh Loc had his right hand severed due to a kitchback rope. The police are investigating to clarify.

A young man was seriously injured after a rare accident while releasing a kite on an empty lot in Tan Vinh Loc commune, Ho Chi Minh City. The victim was determined to have a cutting thorn rope in his right hand.

The incident occurred at around 7:00 p.m. on August 28, in an empty lot near the intersection of Highway 6B and Lai Hung Cuong Street, where many people often come to release kites in the afternoon. According to the victim, while releasing the kite, the kite rope unfortunately caught him and severed his right hand.

Immediately after the incident, the victim was taken to Tan Vinh Loc Commune Health Station for first aid and blood collection. He was then transferred to a higher-level hospital for surgery.

Tan Vinh Loc Commune Police have confirmed the accident. The leader of the Commune People's Committee said that the initial cause was determined to be due to the victim releasing a kite in strong windy weather conditions.

On August 29, local people found the victim's severed hand near the scene of the accident. The case is being further investigated by the authorities.
