According to the Department of Health, after expanding the scope of management to include Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces, Ho Chi Minh City has identified Binh Duong General Hospital as a key facility of the Southeast medical cluster, playing a central role in the network of medical examination, treatment and professional training.
Currently, the hospital has 1,566 civil servants and employees, including 383 doctors, 99 pharmacists, 659 nurses, 110 families and 71 medical technicians. This force will be deployed to work at the new facility with a scale of 1,500 beds, to ensure stable professional operations in the transition period.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said it is developing a comprehensive plan for transferring, arranging and training hospital human resources. The implementation principle is not to interrupt medical examination and treatment activities; arrange and transfer human resources appropriately between departments; prioritize key specialties and standardize the organizational structure according to the modern general hospital model.
In the orientation of in-depth development, Binh Duong General Hospital will focus on investing in spearhead areas such as Orthopedic trauma, intervention cardiology, intensive resuscitation and oncology. The goal is to improve the capacity for emergency care and treatment of complex cases, reducing the rate of disability and death. In addition, the hospital also develops specialized endovascular, adenoid, and machaling, pediatric resuscitation and obstetrics intervention techniques; enhancing fertility support capacity, diagnosing preeclampsia, genetic medicine and anesthesia resuscitation.
In particular, the Oncology sector is focused on comprehensively from screening, early detection to multi-tissue treatment, with the support of the expertise of pathology and nuclear medicine to improve the quality of diagnosis. The hospital also aims to develop the field of bloodology - blood transfusion, ensuring safe blood supply and effective treatment of blood diseases.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health affirmed that it will continue to coordinate with relevant units in perfecting the model of organization, human resource training and implementing specialized techniques, aiming to build Binh Duong General Hospital into a modern general hospital, meeting the medical examination and treatment needs of people in the Southeast region of Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.
