On August 1st, at Ariyana International Convention Center (Da Nang City), the 2026 International Inter-Hospital Scientific Conference with the theme "Verified Medicine with a Multi-dimensional Perspective" officially took place.
The event gathered a large number of professors, doctors, leading domestic experts and doctors, along with international delegations from Thailand, Taiwan (China), Japan and China. In order to promote professional cooperation and update medical advances, this year's conference focused on nearly 200 reports in many specialized fields such as surgery, internal medicine - intervention, emergency resuscitation, cardiology, oncology, organ transplantation and artificial intelligence in medicine.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee emphasized: "For Da Nang city, developing high-quality healthcare is always one of the key tasks. The city determines that investing in healthcare is not only investing in social security but also an important foundation for sustainable development. We always create favorable conditions for medical facilities to strengthen international cooperation, apply advanced scientific and technical achievements, develop high-quality human resources and build a modern healthcare system, gradually affirming its role as one of the specialized health centers of the Central - Central Highlands region".
On this occasion, representatives of the leaders of Da Nang City People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to Dr. Tsai Chien-Sung, former Director of Tri-Service Hospital (Taiwan, China), acknowledging his positive contributions in cooperation and development of medical expertise in the locality.
Dr. Le Duc Nhan - Director of Da Nang Hospital shared: "This year is a special milestone when the conference is held for the first time on an international scale, with the participation of experts and colleagues from countries in the region. This not only affirms the development of the forum but also opens up new opportunities to connect knowledge, share experiences and promote medical cooperation beyond the scope of each hospital and each country".
According to the Director of Da Nang Hospital, from 3 participating hospitals in 2024, 5 hospitals in 2025 and now 7 hospitals accompanying each other, the conference has shown the increasingly strong spread of the spirit of cooperation. The greatest value of this forum lies not only in the quality scientific reports, but also in the connection between colleagues, the sharing of practical experiences and the aspiration to jointly improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for patients.
One of the most impressive highlights of the event is the technical demonstration sessions (Live Case) broadcast live from the operating room and intervention room. Attending delegates closely watched many advanced techniques such as Da Vinci robot surgery in urine, CORI robot knee replacement, spinal endoscopy surgery, congenital heart intervention and complex coronary artery.
Co-organizing unit - Da Nang Hospital contributed 31 scientific reports, including 2 live demonstration surgeries/interventions and published many outstanding studies on liver transplantation from living donors, neurosurgery with electrophysiological monitoring, AI application in medicine... The event takes place on August 1 and 2, promising to create a new impetus in applying modern medical achievements to the practice of people's health care.
