The Social Insurance Law 2024 (effective from July 1, 2025) has added maternity benefits to the voluntary social insurance policy for all participants.

Female employees who are surrogate mothers and have paid compulsory social insurance for at least 6 months within 12 months up to the time of receiving the child are entitled to maternity leave from the time of receiving the child until the child is 6 months old.
