New maternity regime with female workers abortion

Article 52 of the Law on Social Insurance 2024 (effective from 1.7.2025) stipulates the time of leave for maternity benefits during miscarriage, abortion, uterine death, fetus during labor, ectopic pregnancy is as follows:

1 Treatment indicated but maximum as follows:

a) 10 days if the pregnancy is under 05 weeks;

b) 20 days if the pregnancy is from full 5 weeks old to less than 13 weeks of age;

c) 40 days if the pregnancy is from 13 weeks of age to under 22 weeks of age;

d) 50 days if the pregnancy is full 22 weeks or older.

2. In case of pregnant female workers from full 22 weeks of age or older are eligible for Clause 2 or Clause 3 or Clause 5, Article 50 of this Law, which has miscarriage, abortion, pregnancy in the uterus, pregnancy Death during labor, female workers and husbands are entitled to maternity leave as if the case of female labor.

3. The maternity leave period prescribed in Clause 1 of this Article counts on holidays, New Year and weekly holidays.

Thus, from 1.7.2025, female workers abortion are entitled to the above maternity regime.
