LD26219: Father bedridden, child with liver tumor, poor family miserable due to illness

Hồ Long |

Mr. Hoang Van Yeu's family (Thanh Huong village, Thanh Quan commune, Thanh Hoa province) continuously faces upheavals that make the family increasingly difficult.

...

Nearly two years ago, while getting lost in the forest, Mr. Hoang Van Yeu unfortunately got lost. After many days of mobilizing villagers to organize searches, the family managed to bring him back in a state of exhausted health.

After that, he was taken to Thanh Hoa Provincial Hospital for treatment and was diagnosed by doctors with whole-body paralysis due to stroke sequelae. Since then, he has completely lost his ability to work, unable to walk on his own, unable to take care of himself.

All daily activities from eating, personal hygiene to grooming all depend on the care of relatives. Each meal, he can only eat a few spoons of porridge, and his health is increasingly deteriorating.

Feeling sorry for their seriously ill father, the eldest son and his wife, Mr. Hoang Van Chinh and Ms. Ha Thi Thu, arranged to live together to conveniently take care of and support their elderly father.

Both husband and wife work as workers far from home, saving every penny of their salary to cover living expenses and medicine for Mr. Yeu, and also raising two young children of school age. Although life is hard, the family still tries to overcome it with the hope that everything will gradually improve.

However, when the old difficulties had not yet subsided, a new disaster suddenly struck. In May 2026, while working in Bac Ninh province, Ms. Ha Thi Thu suddenly fell ill and had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.

Through examination, doctors diagnosed her with a liver tumor, requiring blood transfusions, intensive treatment and surgery at a very high cost to have a chance of recovery. The bad news was like a shock to the whole family, which was already exhausted by illness.

To take care of his wife during the days of treatment at the hospital, Mr. Hoang Van Chinh was forced to quit his job and regularly stay by his wife's side. Since then, the main source of income for the whole family has been almost cut off.

The meager savings quickly ran out because treatment costs increased day by day, while ahead were surgery and a long and costly treatment process.

In her hometown, the elderly mother, who is old and weak, still has to both take care of her bedridden husband and take care of everything in the family. The family also has a son born in 1987 who is mentally ill, has unstable health, is unable to work and has to depend on the care of relatives.

Two young children born in 2009 and 2019 are still of school age, very much in need of care from their parents, but now their lives are also seriously affected by family upheavals.

Currently, Mr. Hoang Van Yeu's family is almost unable to manage. The treatment costs for Mr. Yeu, hospital fees, medicine, blood transfusion and the upcoming surgery of Ms. Ha Thi Thu all exceed the family's ability. Every day that passes is another day the family has to worry, running around everywhere to borrow money for treatment with the hope of saving the health and life of loved ones.

Faced with the particularly difficult circumstances of Mr. Hoang Van Yeu's family, we really hope that agencies, organizations, businesses, philanthropists, benefactors inside and outside the province and the social community will pay attention, share and help.

Every support, whether a small amount of money or a word of encouragement, is extremely meaningful, contributing to helping the family have more conditions to treat Ms. Ha Thi Thu's illness, take care of Mr. Hoang Van Yeu, overcome the difficult period and ignite hope for a better future.

The community's joint effort will be a valuable source of encouragement, helping a family on the brink of difficulty have more strength to continue to rise up in life.

According to the reporter's investigation, Mr. Hoang Van Yeu's family situation is currently very difficult. The fact that many people in the family are seriously ill at the same time makes the family economically exhausted, and the elderly and young children are dependent and helpless.

Meanwhile, ahead is still a long road with countless treatment costs for Ms. Ha Thi Thu, so that she can recover and return home with 02 young children and support her husband's large family with 7 dependents.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Thanh Quan commune, confirmed that the family of Mr./Ms. Hoang Van Yeu - Vi Thi Tam is a case with particularly difficult circumstances. The government, organizations and people in the residential area have repeatedly encouraged and supported, but before the prolonged difficulties, the family really needs the joint efforts of the community.

All the sharing of organizations, businesses and kind hearts at this time will be a valuable source of encouragement, helping the family have surgery and treatment costs for Ms. Ha Thi Thu, Mr. Hoang Van Yeu as well as having more conditions to care for and help the young children not drop out of school, helping the whole family overcome the most difficult period of life.
