Lao Dong Newspaper has just published an article reflecting the situation of health certificates for job applications being issued with very fast implementation time.
On September 14, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health) issued an urgent document to the Can Tho City Department of Health and the Dong Thap Provincial Department of Health, requesting clarification of press information reflecting on health certificate issuance activities at some private clinics in the Mekong Delta region.
The Ministry of Health requests the Departments of Health of Can Tho and Dong Thap to urgently inspect and verify the entire content and related cases. If violations are detected, units must strictly handle them according to legal regulations.
The results of inspection, verification and handling of the case must also be made public to the press agencies according to regulations.
The Ministry of Health also requested the two localities to strengthen inspection and supervision of establishments that are eligible for health check-ups, and promptly rectify detected shortcomings.
Health check-up facilities must publicize hotlines operating 24/24 hours on the website to receive feedback, answer questions and coordinate to verify information about health certificates when requested.
If there are changes in location, examination time, personnel, contracts, equipment or announced contents on health examination conditions, the facility must promptly report to competent authorities.
The Departments of Health of Can Tho and Dong Thap are also required to regularly update the list of qualified health check-up facilities on the website, and provide links for people and organizations to easily look up.
In addition, localities must coordinate with the press, authorities and police forces to detect, prevent and strictly handle cases of intentional violations of regulations in health check-up activities.
The Ministry of Health requests the Departments of Health of Can Tho and Dong Thap to report on the progress and results of inspection and verification before September 18, 2026.
