Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (42 years old, from Quang Ngai province, currently residing in KP Tan Hanh 2, Bien Hoa ward, Dong Nai city) started working at Pou Chen Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bien Hoa ward, Dong Nai city) in 2013.
3 years ago, while working at the production line, Ms. Hoa suddenly suffered a stroke leading to a fall and was taken to the emergency room by colleagues. Ms. Hoa then became weak in her limbs and could not move on her own but had to sit in a wheelchair, causing her to collapse mentally.
However, Ms. Hoa's 3 children are all of school age, including Bui Nghia (born in 2005), Bui Phat Tai (born in 2012) and Bui Ngoc Ha My (born in 2015). Ms. Hoa's husband, Mr. B.H. C (born in 1968), did not live with her and her children.

Ms. Hoa, under the encouragement and help of the company's grassroots trade union and colleagues, tried to overcome adversity and continue working at the company to raise her children to study.
Every day, her two children, Tai and My, take turns taking her to the company gate. From the company gate, Ms. Hoa's colleagues volunteer to push the wheelchair to help her to the production line to work and push the wheelchair to help her out of the gate at the end of the shift so that the children can pick her up to go home.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Quang, Vice Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Pou Chen Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that in the face of the difficult circumstances of union members and workers, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union has asked for the opinion of the Company's Board of Directors to create conditions for Ms. Hoa to do a job suitable for her health and have income to support her family...
Although receiving a lot of help, with a meager salary of only about 10 million VND/month, limited health and unable to work overtime to earn extra income, Ms. Hoa has great difficulty in raising 3 children to study, taking care of medicine and daily living expenses.

Ms. Hoa added that due to difficult family circumstances, her eldest child, Nghia, is currently studying at a college in Ho Chi Minh City, both studying and earning money to support herself, helping Ms. Hoa take care of her younger siblings. Nghia's day starts at 5 am and goes to work part-time until 12 pm before returning home.
Tai should have been in 9th grade this year, but because his mother was sick, he had to drop out of school to go to work, but when he applied for a job, no place accepted him, so now he is determined to re-study and is in 8th grade," Ms. Hoa shared.
Currently, Tai and My are both studying at Tan An Secondary School in Bien Hoa ward, Dong Nai city.
