Quang Ninh City People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch assigning the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units, and localities to urgently inspect and verify information reflecting the activities of welcoming, gathering, explaining, and organizing sightseeing schedules of tourists at Quang Ninh Museum and some business establishments.
Previously, there was information reflecting the fact that Chinese people directly gathered groups, explaining to visitors about some products. After visiting Quang Ninh Museum, visitors were taken to closed stores, specializing in serving Chinese customers to listen to introductions and buy valuable products.
Some products are also advertised as "Vietnamese treasures", of Vietnamese origin and accompanied by documents introduced as certificates from functional agencies.
This content may be related to the professional qualifications of the narrator and guide; tourist organization activities; origin and legality of products; the use of images and names of Quang Ninh Museum and state management agencies in business operations.
To proactively inspect, promptly rectify, ensure the legitimate rights and interests of tourists, preserve the tourism environment and prestige of Quang Ninh Museum, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh City People's Committee Vu Thi Mai Anh requested to clarify the activities of welcoming, gathering delegations, guiding, and explaining at the Museum; the qualifications, titles, and practicing conditions of the person directly performing and the responsibility of the management unit.
Functional agencies also verify the itinerary of the tourist group; related organizations and individuals; the relationship between travel agencies, tour guides, group organizers and business establishments.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units, and localities to urgently inspect and verify the reflected contents, focusing on clarifying the organization of welcoming, gathering delegations, guiding, and explaining to guests; the qualifications, titles, and practicing conditions of the person directly guiding and explaining; and the responsibility of the Museum management unit in managing these activities.
Clarify the organization of tours and bringing customers to business establishments. Check the origin, origin, legal documents of the reflected products; authenticity of certificates; clarify whether or not the name, image, reputation, space or name of state agencies are used to create trust and promote buying and selling.
Based on the verification results, the Department proposes handling and rectification measures according to its authority; in cases exceeding authority, transfer to competent agencies for handling according to regulations. The inspection and verification results must be reported to the City People's Committee before September 20, 2026.
