In the midst of danger, the commitment of rescue forces, volunteers and the hearts of the people have become a fulcrum, holding hope for the community in the moment of birth and death.
Dedicate all your efforts to save people in the middle of the sea
Prolonged heavy rain caused more than 160 locations in 54 communes and wards of Khanh Hoa province to be deeply flooded, with some places having water levels up to 2m.
Looking down from above, the bustling residential areas suddenly turned into isolated "oases".

People panicked and climbed onto the attic and roofs waiting for rescue. In the scene of mourning, humanity is enlarged again, becoming a spiritual support for the community to overcome disaster together.
Along with the police and soldiers are ordinary people, contributing boats, trucks, or simply human resources.
In the rushing water, volunteer teams such as SOS 115, SOS 77, Tu Nha Be, Hoang Loi, Hoa Ky Co... Despite the danger, drove canoes and motorbikes into deep flooded areas to rescue people, bringing clean water and hot rice to each house.
Mr. Nguyen Van Sang (Tu Nha Be group) said that seeing people shiver and go hungry waiting for rescue made the whole group unable to delay.
"For people in isolated areas, every minute and every second is precious. The faster we get, the more lives are saved, he said.
On the night of November 19, Ms. Thu Huyen, a volunteer in Nha Trang - and her group received thousands of calls for help.
"The water rose and flowed rapidly, there were many people in need of rescue, so we could only try our best to save as many as possible," Ms. Huyen shared.
From morning to noon, regardless of day or night, Ms. Huyen's group continuously waded through water in the areas of Nha Trang and Dien Khanh - where many houses were submerged.
Present in many hot spots of floods, Ms. Huyen's group took hundreds of people to safety.
The group also prepared dozens of official dresses to bury the dead for free during the flood.
I dont remember exactly how many people trapped in the flood have been saved. Among them was a pregnant woman, she gave the small portion to the children..., Ms. Huyen said.
Those stories show that, in the midst of the muddy water, human love has become the most solid life buoy.
Hotels, schools... become safe havens

In the communes and wards of Tay Nha Trang, Nam Nha Trang, Cam Lam, Nam Cam Ranh, Dien Khanh, Dong Hai and Ninh Hoa, evacuation is taking place urgently.
Commune headquarters, schools, houses... were opened as centralized shelters, welcoming hundreds of people from heavily flooded areas.
In Nha Trang ward, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bach (23 years old) opened his family's old hotel at 8 Phan Boi Chau to welcome more than 200 people.
beds, mattresses, and pillows are prepared; medicine, clothes, and food are continuously brought by the community.
"Fortunately, the necessities are not only enough for people to stay, but there is also enough for us to take them to support other locations," said Mr. Bach.

What is more special is that in the days when the hotel became a place of residence, a baby was born right here. That moment filled the space with hope, Bach said emotionally.
At Ha Quang SSH08, SSH07 apartments (Nam Nha Trang ward), in recent days, they have been used as a relief kitchen and a place of residence for many people.
Some wash vegetables, some wash rice, some prepare food in small pieces to send to deeply flooded areas.
Through the social network Zalo, residents of Ha Quang apartment building have contacted each other. Since November 19, apartment residents have prepared meals, called for clean water, noodles, and life jackets to bring to the people.

Unable to go directly to the flooded areas, many businesses and other people in Nha Trang still silently contribute.
The Moc Mien banh xeo restaurant in Nha Trang ward makes cakes for free, many restaurants and hotels open their doors to welcome people to avoid floods, prepare life jackets, bread... Small actions but filled with meaning have become a warm fire amidst the sea insects.
Natural disasters can sweep away many things, but cannot sink the hearts of Vietnamese people. In the midst of hardship, the strength of the community - what has helped the Central region stand firm through many storms and floods - is increasingly seen.
