On November 25, at a meeting with Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Construction) on related issues in overcoming landslides in traffic infrastructure, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested this agency to review and handle locations at risk of landslides along the first first phase of the road.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Lam Dong province always provides maximum support within its authority and will have a document recommending the Ministry of Construction to urge competent authorities to urgently deploy a serious landslide that broke the traffic cut on Mimosa Pass.
At the meeting, a representative of Project Management Board 85 said that the unit is urgently constructing and opening a temporary road next to the landslide site on Mimosa Pass, and paving asphalt and reinforcing the road surface to ensure safe traffic.

A representative of Project Management Board 85 informed that the temporary road opening is expected to be completed and opened to traffic on the morning of November 28. The temporary road is constructed in the direction of opening deep into the positive slope on Mimosa Pass, with a design of 8m wide, with a scale of 2 traffic lanes.
After the opening, Project Management Board 85 will submit to the Ministry of Construction for approval the overpass construction plan through the landslide site. This project is expected to start construction before December 10 and be completed and put into use after 3 to 4 months of construction.

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of November 20, due to prolonged heavy rain, Mimosa Pass (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat) collapsed, paralyzing traffic on this route. At the scene, about 100m of the pass was eroded, broken, and sunk nearly 30m deep into the negative slope.
Mimosa Pass is 11km long, playing an important role in connecting trade between Da Lat and the southern provinces. After the landslide occurred, Lam Dong provincial authorities adjusted the route and regulated vehicles entering and exiting Da Lat through Sacom Pass and Ta Nung Pass.
