Mr. Phan Van Thanh - a seriously wounded soldier (already lost his leg) is fighting for his life with cancer, often having to go for treatment, his body is withered and in pain.
Meanwhile, Mr. Thanh's wife - Ms. Tran Thi Thuy (born in 1963) has been bedridden for 5 years now. In one house, there are two elderly and sick people, one with a lost leg and cancer, and the other bedridden.

Mr. Thanh's son - Mr. Phan Van Viet is the pillar of the family, currently working as a worker at YIDA Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Song Thao town industrial cluster (Cam Khe commune).
As for Mr. Viet's wife - Ms. Tran Thi Oanh, she cannot go to work because she still has to take care of her paralyzed mother, cancerous father and two young children.
