“For tennis and pickleball – these are two sports with a large number of players with diverse participants from teenagers to middle-aged people, especially attracting high-income players.
These two sports not only bring direct economic value from membership fees, athletes, field business, coaching, and equipment, but also have the potential to create a ripple effect on the tourism, culture, and investment industries.
Large-scale tournaments and sporting events in these two sports are fully capable of attracting tourists, enhancing the local image, and creating momentum to promote infrastructure development," said Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President and General Secretary of VTF.
One of the highlights of the conference was the memorandum of understanding between VTF and the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Tennis Federations of the Southeast provinces, Lam Dong and Binh Thuan.
This Memorandum of Understanding acknowledges the cooperation in the development of tennis and pickleball, enabling local Tennis Federations to register to add pickleball to their provincial sports activities along with the management and parallel development of the two sports.
