Lebanon's national official news agency reported that the return of Syrian refugees has occurred in southern Lebanon and the districts of Tripoli, Arsal, Tyre and Nabatieh, and under the supervision of the Lebanese General Department of Security in coordination with the United Nations High Commission for refugees (UNHCR).
The refugees returned home using buses sent by the Syrian government. The refugees who have to undergo medical examinations and anti-paralysis vaccinations are vaccinated against children.
Syrian refugees return from Lebanon at the Zamarani border through northern Damascus, Syria, on December 24. More than 1,000 Syrian refugees have returned to their hometowns from various areas in Lebanon including Tripoli, Aarsal, Tyre and Nabatieh.
Syrian refugees departed Lebanon on buses, sent by the Syrian government, at the al-Dabbousiya border crossing on December 24.
