The US election battleground state race between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is getting closer, with new polls showing Harris with an advantage in the Upper Midwest, Nevada, while Trump leads in the Southeast, Arizona. This means the fiercest competition will be in Pennsylvania, according to Forbes.
Pennsylvania: The 2024 Republican and Democratic presidential candidates are tied at 48% in a Fox News and CNN/SSRS poll released on October 30. Similarly, the support rate is 49%-49% in a CBS/YouGov poll.
In this battleground state, Mr. Trump leads Ms. Harris with a 47%-46% support correlation in the Quinnipiac poll and 50%-49% if Fox News excludes third parties.
Meanwhile, Ms. Kamala Harris leads with 49% support while Mr. Donald Trump is at 48% in a large survey (3,685 respondents) by the Cooperative Election Study.
Also in Pennsylvania, Monmouth found Mr. Trump leading 47%-46% among all registered voters, but Ms. Harris leading 48%-47% among those who have voted in most elections.
Overall, in the state, Mr. Trump leads Ms. Harris by 0.4 points in FiveThirtyEight's polling average.
Michigan: Ms. Harris leads 48%-46% in the Fox News US election poll, and Ms. Harris leads 51%-46% in the CES poll (2,336 respondents) and 48%-43% in the CNN/SSRS poll, while Mr. Trump leads 49%-48% in the Emerson survey released on October 29.
That puts Harris ahead by 1 point in Michigan in FiveThirtyEight's polling average.
North Carolina: Mr. Trump leads Ms. Harris 49%-47% according to Fox News, and the Republican candidate's support rate increased to 50%-48% in surveys released by CES, Marist and Emerson College last week.
FiveThirtyEight's polling average shows Trump with a 1.1-point advantage.
Wisconsin: Harris's support is at 50% to Trump's 47% in the CES poll (1,542 respondents), 51%-45% in the CNN/SSRS poll and 50%-49% in the Marquette poll.
While Mr. Trump has a 49% support rate compared to Ms. Harris's 48% in the Emerson survey, the two candidates are tied at 48% in the Quinnipiac poll.
In Wisconsin, Harris' approval rating increased by 0.8 points in the FiveThirtyEight average.
Nevada: Ms. Harris leads Mr. Trump by a 51%-47% margin in the CES survey (933 respondents), while Mr. Trump leads by 48%-47% in the CNN/SSRS survey released on October 29 and Ms. Harris leads by a 48.8%-48.3% margin in the Bloomberg poll released on October 23.
In Nevada, Harris is up 0.1 points in the FiveThirtyEight polling average.
Arizona: Donald Trump has a 51% approval rating, higher than Kamala Harris' 47% in the CES survey (2,066 respondents), and the former US president leads 50%-49% in the Marist poll released on October 24 and 49%-46% in the Washington Post-Schar School poll.
Meanwhile, in Arizona, Ms. Harris leads 48%-47% in a CNN/SSRS poll released this week.
Thus, Mr. Trump leads by 2.2 points in FiveThirtyEight's average poll.
Georgia: Trump leads Harris 51%-46% in the CES survey (2,663 respondents), reflecting his advantage in most polls, although the Republican and Democratic candidates are tied at 49% in the Marist poll and Trump leads by a smaller margin of 49.9%-48.4% in the Bloomberg poll, while the Washington Post-Schar poll shows Harris leading 51%-47%.
Overall, Mr. Trump leads by 1.8 points in the battleground state of Georgia in the FiveThirtyEight polling average.
