Up to now, no Vietnamese citizen has been recorded to be affected in the apartment fire in Hong Kong (China) on November 26.

On the afternoon of November 27, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang answered a reporter's question asking for an update on information about Vietnamese citizens affected by the apartment fire in Hong Kong (China) on November 26.

Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang sent her deepest condolences to the families of the victims in the apartment fire in Hong Kong (China).

Ms. Pham Thu Hang said that immediately after receiving the information, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs directed the Consulate General of Vietnam in Hong Kong and Macao (China) to immediately contact local authorities to find out information on whether there are Vietnamese people affected or not, as well as contact Vietnamese community focal points in Hong Kong (China) to grasp information and prepare civil protection plans in case of detecting Vietnamese citizens.

Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang shared: "According to the information we received from the Consulate General of Vietnam in Hong Kong and Macao (China), as of the afternoon of November 27, no cases of Vietnamese citizens have been recorded."
