Since the Boeing 777 carrying 239 people went missing in 2014, a series of plot theories have appeared. Here are the most shocking theories about the disappearance of MH370.
US shoots down MH370
Investigative journalist Florence de Changy, author of the book "The Disappearing Act: The impossible Case of MH370", said that the truth about MH370 was being hidden.
Based on 7 years of research, she believes that MH370 was shot down by the US Air Force to prevent technology from seeping into China.
She accused the US of trying to intercept MH370 by disturbing tracking signals. The plane was shot down after a failed attempt to change direction and the incident has been kept secret until now.
MH370 pilot commits suicide
Another theory suggests that MH370's captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah may have deliberately controlled the plane to crash into the sea.
A longtime friend of Shah, who is also a pilot, said that the mental state of MH370 captain could influence the decision to take down the plane.
independent aviation investigators (IG), which closely follow the MH370 incident, believe captain Shah was steering MH370 away from the journey and waiting for the plane to run low on fuel or controlling the plane to plunge into the sea to let the plane crash when it collided.
UFO kidnapped
One of the most strange theories is that MH370 was kidnapped by an unidentified flying object (UFO). A once-idespread video shows a strange object flying with a plane. Many amateurists claim that the plane in the video is MH370 and was captured by aliens.
However, the clip was quickly dismissed because Newsweek said the satellite that recorded the video had not even been launched when MH370 went missing.
Launching uncontrollably
Only about 33 pieces of debris, confirmed or almost certain, belonging to MH370, have been found in La Reunion, Mauritius, Madagascar, Tan Tan nar and South Africa. Experts say the currents have brought MH370 debris from the suspected crash site near Western Australia to the western Indian Ocean.
The MH370 debris may hold the key to solving the mystery. Analysis of a piece of debris shows that the plane crashed into the sea in a state of uncontrolled landing, also known as ghost dive. This information reinforces the view that MH370 flew until it ran out of fuel and crashed into the ocean.
No thieves
Some theories revolve around the possibility of MH370 being taken over, either from the cockpit, or remotely. One plot theory suggests that MH370 was hidden by an unknownries in a mysterious package weighing nearly 89kg and was added to the luggage list after the plane took off.
Russia attacks
Another hypothesis is that aviation expert Jeff Wise believes Russia has the engine and technology to make MH370 disappear. In the book "The Plane Wasn't There" (2015), Mr. Wise argues that Russia is one of the few countries capable of carrying out such an attack. He also said Russia may want to distract public opinion from the 2014 Crimeanichichichichichich.
