President Putin appeared at Mulino Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod region, in military uniform as Commander-in-Chief of the Russian armed forces.
Speaking to the soldiers, the Russian leader emphasized that the goal of the exercise was to practice the ability to protect the Coalition State (called the Russia-Belarus alliance) from all aggressive actions.
Mr. Putin affirmed that the drill applies all modern weapons technology and strategies built on the experiences that Russia has acquired in the special military campaign in Ukraine.
According to President Putin, there were 100,000 soldiers and 10,000 equipment of all kinds, including 333 tactical, strategic and transport aircraft, present at 41 training grounds within the framework of the Zapad-2025 exercise.

Not stopping there, more than 247 warships, including surface ships, Submarines and logistics ships, also participated in the exercise.
In addition to the presence of the Russian leader, the drill also had the participation of 25 foreign delegations, of which 16 delegations sent observers and 6 military delegations directly to the drill.
At the end of the visit, Mr. Putin expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the military and diplomatic delegations.
