Faced with the tense security developments in the Middle East, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel on the morning of February 28 issued an urgent notice to the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in the locality, requesting to raise vigilance and strictly comply with the safety regulations of local authorities.
According to information from the Embassy, on the morning of February 28, Israel launched a preemptive strike targeting a number of Iranian military targets and strategic infrastructure.
Based on the assessment of the situation, the Israeli Internal Front Command decided to shift its nationwide operational status from "full operation" to "only maintaining essential operations".
Accordingly, all educational activities are temporarily suspended; mass gatherings are prohibited; establishments and workplaces are suspended, except for essential services.
This policy takes effect from 08:00 on February 28, 2026 to 8:00 on March 2, 2026. People are required to stay near shelters, closely monitor missile warnings and be ready to act immediately when there is an alarm clock.
Along with that, Israeli airspace has been closed to civilian flights until further notice. All commercial flights to and from Israel are temporarily suspended.
Some foreign embassies in Israel such as the US, UK, Poland... have also advised citizens to strictly follow the instructions of the local authorities, limit unnecessary movements and prepare a plan to leave Israel when conditions permit.
Faced with the above situation, in order to ensure absolute safety of people and property for the people, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel requests the Vietnamese community to seriously implement a number of the following contents:
First, fully comply with regulations and guidelines on measures to ensure security and safety of local authorities; regularly update information through Vietnamese associations and groups in Israel to grasp the situation and exchange when necessary.
Second, minimize travel between cities during sensitive periods; try to stay near areas with shelters; proactively develop plans and plans to ensure safety for themselves and their families; be ready to return home or move to a third country when permitted.
Third, maintain regular contact with the Embassy. In case of emergency or needing citizen protection assistance, please contact the hotline: +972 555 025 616 and +972 508 783 373.
