Egyptian archaeological breakthrough: Super tomb revealed ancient "deadly industry"

Egyptian archaeologists accidentally discovered an ancient treasure trove of 100 coffins and countless artifacts in the "super tomb", helping to reveal the fertile "deadly industry".

Over the years, Egypt has provided some of the most highly regarded and promising archaeological treasures. The archaeological excavations in the North African country began in the mid-1880s, when William Matthew Flinders Petrie - a British Egyptologist often called the "father of Egyptian archaeology" - began his work. Archaeologists and researchers have flocked to the country, digging and analyzing every cm2 of areas that were believed to hold the secret of the past.

It is hard to believe that in more than 100 years of excavation and robbery, there are still many mysteries discovered in Egypt. countless ancient artifacts continue to be found every year.

A large amount of artifacts from an undiscovered grave was discovered in the documentary Tomb Hunters by the Smithsonian Canal.

Here, tomb hunters accompanied archaeologists to the Saqqara cemetery - where statues and other relics are kept.

The discovery of many "precious treasures" has proven that the people buried in the Egyptian tombs were "above average" people at that time - many of whom are believed to be up to 2,500 years old.

A statue, a guardrail leaf is said to protect the soul of the dead, with a perfectly preserved gold-plated face.

The statues were intended to be buried with the dead as souvenirs and symbols of luck in their journey to the world beyond.

"These valuable treasures reveal how the wealthy Egyptians burying the dead began to change in the final period - it became more commercialized" - the documentary revealed.

The ancient Egyptians were extremely worried about the future, diligently reading the "Books of the dead" to know the tips and advice, and doing whatever they could for their recently deceased relatives.

The body storage and burial activities are first spiritual and then commercial, says Dr. Mohammad Youssef, who is in charge of the excavation site. Therefore, many people have participated in this activity: Carpenters, people in the market, statu makers, monks, soldiers, people who worry about body marination. Everyone is involved in a deadly industry."

The research team involved in the excavation went deeper into the mausoleum in the hope of finding more. They quickly found coffins piled up, crawling into any space available underground. From a coffin to a large grave with more than 100 coffins.

"These coffins show Saqqara as the homeland of a huge funeral industry where the dead are customers," said Katharina Stövesand, an Egyptian scholar. Saqqara has a huge, deadly industry and is truly a bustling industry.

We know that they have personnel to sell burial places in tombs. We know that they sell things to make Nam Mai, we know that priests participate in rituals - all of which cost a lot of money."

The super tomb was quickly established as the largest coffin gathering place ever excavated in Egypt, three times larger than anything previously found.
