39 Vietnamese citizens detained for violating Myanmar's immigration regulations returned home on the morning of April 9.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that, implementing the Government's direction, in the early morning of April 9, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security, Vietnamese representative agencies in Myanmar and Thailand, domestic relevant agencies and authorities of Myanmar and Thailand to bring 39 Vietnamese citizens detained for violating Myanmar's immigration regulations back to the country safely.

These are the first citizens among the Vietnamese citizens in Myawaddy, Myanmar waiting to be brought back to the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively working with relevant countries to bring the remaining citizens back to their countries as soon as possible.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Vietnamese citizens be vigilant against invitations to go abroad to do "easy work, high salary", not requiring degrees, qualifications, no contracts, not through businesses, labor dispatch organizations...

Citizens need to learn carefully about the content of the work, the expected place to work, the relatives of the introduction, the insurance regime, the benefits, refer to the authorities about the work and the establishment plan to work abroad to avoid becoming a resident and illegal working abroad.
