The European Union (EU) has transferred 1 billion euros to Ukraine as the next financial support from the refinancing profits of frozen assets of the Russian Central Bank, EU Economic Committee Committee Valdis Dombrovskis announced.
Ukraine has just received an additional €1 billion in macro financial assistance under the ERA loan. This amount of money is funded by profits from frozen assets of the Russian Central Bank," he shared on social network X.
Mr. Dombrovskis added that this year, Ukraine has received a total of 6 billion euros under the G7 Special Revenue Acceleration (ERA) initiative, with a total value of 45 billion euros.
The European Commission also plans to continue transferring an additional 12 billion euros to Kiev in the coming time.
The European Commission has previously said that the total amount of money the EU has spent on Ukraine since 2022 is 150 billion euros.
