The airstrike forced all countries in the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf region to see Israel and the US with a different eye.
US President Donald Trump was determined not to be consulted by Israel and given any prior notice about Israel's airstrikes in Qatar, expressing his frustration with Israel and rushing to welcome the Qatari leader.
The reason is that Qatar has been a strategic military ally of the most important importance to the US in the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf region for decades. Qatar is also one of the few countries that have played the most active, important and effective mediation diplomatic role between Israel and Hamas in the process of finding a political solution to restore the ceasefire or end the war between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip.
For the first time, a traditional strategic military alliance of the US in the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf region has been violated by Israel's sovereignty and attacked by the military. Despite strong opposition from Qatar and the international community, Mr. Netanyahu also demanded that Qatar deport all members of the Hamas leadership and threatened not to hesitate to launch military attacks on Qatar. Trump also did not take any concrete concrete action to punish Netanyahu.
Therefore, it is not difficult to see three things worth noting. First, the US and Israel are not hesitant to take military action against another country. If Israel attacks Qatar without being sanctioned by the US, Israel will be able to military attack other traditional strategic military allies of the US in the world. If the US does not prevent Israel from attacking its own traditional strategic military ally, the US's commitment to ensuring security for its only existing ally is unreal.
Second, Israel and the US may not want to stop the war or end the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, Qatar has made great efforts to mediate between Israel and Hamas, which has since become a target of Israeli attacks, being violated by Israel's sovereignty and even threatened.
Third, it seems that the ultimate goal of the US and Israel could be to take advantage of the war with Hamas, deliberately expand territory for Israel, push Palestinians out of the Gaza Strip and the entire western Jordan River area and not allow the establishment of an independent, sovereign and territorial state of Palestine to coexist peacefully with the State of Israel in the Middle East.
The immediate consequences can be seen that Israel's actions have changed the game of war and peace, political security and international relations in this region. The war between Israel and Hamas is still dragging on and will certainly be more intense, the further the end or ceasefire is, the more difficult it is for the prisoners of war to have the chance to be released. Countries in the region will be forced to reconsider their relations with the US and Israel. Israel will find it more difficult to normalize diplomatic relations with Arab countries and the US's position here will continue to decline.
