The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the US suffered 200 casualties in Iran's retaliatory attacks on bases across the Middle East.
Backed by the US, Israel launched a campaign described as a preemptive strike against Iran's military and nuclear targets in the early morning of February 28, declaring the attacks to neutralize the threats posed by the Islamic Republic in the region.
US President Donald Trump later confirmed that the White House supported Israel's attacks, citing the failure of nuclear diplomacy as a direct cause of this move.

Due to missile attacks on US bases, at least 200 US military personnel have been killed and injured," Tasnim news agency reported on February 28, citing a statement from the IRGC.
Commenting on the retaliatory action, General Ebrahim Jabbari of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned Mr. Trump that the Islamic Republic has "advanced capabilities" and is ready for a prolonged conflict.
When the war begins, we will attack everything we have in stockpiles," Mr. Jabbari said, vowing to launch "the strongest missiles afterwards.
What we have not shown so far, we will reveal in the coming days" - he added.
According to reports, Iran's retaliatory actions targeted a series of US military bases across the Middle East, including the 5th Fleet Support Center in Bahrain, a base in Kurdistan in Iraq, Al Udeid Air Force Base in Qatar, Ali Al Salem Air Force Base in Kuwait, Al Dhafra Air Force Base in the United Arab Emirates, Muwaffaq Al Salti Air Force Base in Jordan and Prince Sultan Air Force Base in Saudi Arabia. Israeli news agencies also said that about 35 missiles were launched towards Israel, and 1 person was injured.
The latest attacks mark Israel's second largest military campaign against Iran in less than 1 year.
In June 2025, in a 12-day conflict, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in coordination with the US military launched a surprise bombing of military and nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, killing senior military commanders, government officials and nuclear scientists.
