International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi said on June 26 that the nuclear monitoring agency had "an initial exchange" with Iranian officials on the issue of nuclear inspection, according to Xinhua.
We had an initial exchange with the Iranian side at the technical level," Grossi said at a press conference in Tokyo. He said the exchange took place last weekend in Burgenstock, central Switzerland.
Earlier this week, Mr. Grossi said that the IAEA would conduct inspections in Iran in the context of the US-Iran peace memorandum just signed.
A senior Iranian diplomat said on June 25 that Iran has no plans to allow the IAEA to access nuclear facilities that have been bombed by the US and Israel, and noted that such issues will only be resolved within the framework of a potential final agreement with Washington and as a result of practical actions from the other side to end all sanctions.
