French President Emmanuel Macron shared a video of President Trump signing a document during dinner in Versailles, France and said that the agreement "opens the way for long-term peace and allows the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz".
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif informed X that the leaders of the US and Iran have signed a memorandum of understanding "and initially, the Islamic Republic of Iran will immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz and the US will immediately lift the naval blockade".
The meeting between the US and Iranian delegations led by US Vice President Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf is expected to continue as planned on June 19 in Switzerland, sources said. The parties are expected to discuss the launch of negotiations on Iran's nuclear program.
