According to TASS, the attacks were carried out on the night of July 16 to the morning of July 17 (local time) using long-range precision weapons launched from the air combined with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that the targets attacked included port infrastructure in the Odessa and Chornomorsk provinces of Ukraine - which are believed to be used for loading and unloading, storing military goods, fuel and producing and assembling UAVs.
The Russian side announced that it had hit a firefighting vessel at the port of Chornomorsk and two UAV production and assembly facilities at the port of Odessa, including a component assembly facility for Ukrjet's UJ-22 medium-range UAV, and a ammunition depot.
Other targets include a fuel handling and storage facility at the port of Odessa and a ship and fuel tanks believed to be serving the Ukrainian army at the port of Chornomorsk.
This is the latest attack after Russia announced that it had launched large-scale attacks on the night of July 15 and early morning of July 16 targeting defense industrial facilities in Kiev and port infrastructure in Odessa province.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the targets previously attacked included a facility of a logistics company in Kiev - where medium-range and long-range fixed-wing UAVs and imported components are assembled and stored, a facility of Kiev-1 electronics industry enterprise - where long-range UAVs AN-196 Lyuty, Leleka-100 reconnaissance UAV and many other components are produced and stored.
In addition, the Russian side also informed that it attacked a cargo ship en route to the port of Chornomorsk, a speedboat of the Ukrainian Special Operations Force near the Snake Island, and also hit infrastructure at the ports of Odessa and Yuzhny with 5 fuel tanks, all believed to be serving the Ukrainian army.
Currently, the Ukrainian side has not commented on the latest statements from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
