On July 11 (local time), according to TASS, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the country's armed forces launched a large-scale attack with long-range precision weapons targeting defense industrial facilities in Kiev and many other military targets of Ukraine.
In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the attack was carried out in the early morning of July 11 using long-range precision weapons launched from the ground, from the air by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
According to the Russian side, the targets attacked were businesses belonging to the Ukrainian defense industrial complex in Kiev, specializing in producing and storing medium and long-range UAVs.
The Russian Ministry of Defense affirmed that all selected targets serve Ukrainian military operations.
In addition to Kiev, the Russian military also announced that it had launched attacks targeting seaport infrastructure in 3 cities of Odessa, Chernomorsk and Izmail in Odessa province.
According to the announcement, these ports are used to receive, transport and store military equipment as well as fuel for the Ukrainian armed forces.
The Russian side believes that the attack on these facilities is aimed at reducing Ukraine's logistics and military supply capacity.
In addition to airstrikes, the Russian Ministry of Defense also announced that it had destroyed a locomotive in the city of Snovsk, Chernihiv province.
According to the Russian side, this target was destroyed by a Geran-2 suicide drone.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that target monitoring and control data has confirmed that the locomotive was completely destroyed.
However, the Ukrainian side has not made an official comment on the above statements.
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to be complicated, with frequent attacks by missiles and drones in many areas.
Recently, both Russia and Ukraine have increased attacks targeting enemy military infrastructure and logistics, in the context of fighting on many fronts showing no signs of cooling down.
