A rare cross-border film project has just been completed when Russian producers in collaboration with the Indian film industry released the comedy musical film "My Love Rose". This is considered the first work in decades to mark a large-scale cooperation between the two film industries.
The special feature of the film is that the entire filming process took place in India, taking advantage of Bollywood's characteristic infrastructure and production style. According to the crew, more than 350 international personnel work on the film set every day, with large scenes of up to 1,000 extras - true to the "grandiose" nature of Indian cinema.
The film is produced by TNT TV and MyWayStudio, with the support of the Russian Film Foundation and Indian partners. The cast gathers many familiar faces of Russian cinema such as Demis Karibidis and Mikhail Galustyan in the roles of the two brothers in the center of the story. Besides, there is also the participation of actors such as Adila Ragimova, Albina Kabalina, Artur Vakha and Sergey Rost.
According to a representative of the producer, the project has a meaning beyond cinema, especially in the context of the increasingly expanding cooperation between Russia and India, and is also associated with the trend of connectivity between BRICS countries.
TNT TV Director, Tina Kandelaki, emphasized that culture is always an important bridge between the two countries. "The film shows the natural harmony between Bollywood's emotions and music and the Russian acting school" - she said.
Director Marius Weisberg also expressed his impression of the scale and speed of work of Indian crews, calling it one of the film industries capable of handling the largest projects in the world.
The film's setting stretches from Mumbai - the center of Bollywood - to historical cities such as Udaipur and Jodhpur, contributing to honoring the cultural and architectural beauty of India.
Producer Lika Blank believes this is the starting point for a new wave of cooperation between the two film industries. "This is not only a beautiful and vibrant film, but also a step forward for friendship between the two countries" - she shared.
Expected to be released in Russia next week, "My Love Rose" is expected not only to attract audiences with entertainment elements, but also to open a new chapter for the cultural exchange between Russia and Bollywood - where music, colors and stories transcend all borders.
