US cruise ship casino caught fire fiercely, dozens injured

    A fire broke out at a casino on a SunCruz boat in Florida on the afternoon of January 14, leaving 1 person missing and about 15 people injured.

    According to WFLA TV, there were 50 people present at the casino on the Sun Cruz cruise when the fire broke out at the time the cruise route ran along the Port Richey canal. 49 passengers were brought ashore and were given emergency care by medical staff.

    According to WFTS-TV, 15 victims were taken to the hospital.

    Authorities are still searching for 1 missing person.

    Also according to WTSP-TV, the authorities received a call about the fire at 9:17 p.m. on January 14 (local time).

    The Pasco County Sheriff's Office told CBS News that the fire occurred when the Sun Cruz boat was 100 meters from shore.
