Russian Su-25 fighter jets airstrikes a concentration of Ukrainian manpower and weapons in the border area of Kursk province.

Russian Su-25 attack aircraft teams have launched a missile attack that destroyed personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the border area of Kursk province, Sputnik reported on September 8.

The crews of Su-25 fighter jets conducted airstrikes against the concentration of human resources, mechanical military equipment and armaments of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the border area of Kursk province, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Telegram, posting a video of the attack.

After using a means of air weapons, the crew performed missile defense movements, dropped heat traps and returned to the departure airport.

"According to intelligence, all designated targets were destroyed," the Russian Defense Ministry concluded.

Previously, on September 7, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Su-34 bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces also destroyed Ukrainian personnel and equipment in Kursk province with aerial bombs with the Un overcast Planning and Control Panel (UMPC).

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attack targeted a front reconnaissance target using a UMPC-powered aerial bomb, allowing accurate attacks from a safe distance from the front line.

The Ministry of National Defense noted: "After confirming that the targets were destroyed, the plane returned to the airport to a safe base."

On August 6, 2024, units of the Ukrainian armed forces entered the territory of Russia's Kursk province. Chief of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff Valery Gerasimov said that the campaign would end with the defeat of Ukrainian warring forces.
