Moscow attacked by dozens of Ukrainian UAVs
On November 10, the Russian capital Moscow faced a major drone attack from Ukraine. At least 32 UAVs were shot down by air defense systems near the Domodedovo, Ramenskoye and Kolomna districts, according to Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
In the village of Stanovoye, Ramenskoye district, a crashed UAV set two houses on fire and injured a 52-year-old woman. Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky international airports were temporarily closed.
Orel Governor Andrey Klychkov also reported that eight UAVs were destroyed there without major damage. Russian air defenses continue to protect the area.
Tons of used clothes pile up on streets in Czech Republic
On November 11, a pile of old clothes weighing about 4 tons was placed in front of a shopping mall in the capital city of Prague, Czech Republic, to raise awareness about textile waste.
This activity is part of the workshop “Circular Cities and Enterprises” with the participation of experts, focusing on solutions to reduce textile waste. Minister of the Environment Petr Hladik called for separate collection of textile products from 2025.
The pile of clothes represents the amount of waste a family produces in a lifetime, highlighting the urgency of sustainable fashion.
Donald Trump creates new agency, with Elon Musk as leader
President-elect Donald Trump announced on November 12 that he is creating the Commission on Effective Government (DOGE) to reform the government and cut spending. Billionaire Elon Musk and activist Vivek Ramaswamy have been appointed to co-head the agency.
DOGE will operate independently, recommending reforms to the White House without Senate approval. Trump has given the task until July 4, 2026. Elon Musk has long supported the reform, proposing to cut government spending by up to $2 trillion.
Israel expands airstrikes in Lebanon and Syria
On November 14, Israel carried out a series of airstrikes in Lebanon and Syria, causing great damage. In Baalbek (Lebanon), at least 12 rescue workers were killed when the civil defense center was attacked.
In Syria, an airstrike on Damascus killed 15 people, including members of the Islamic Jihad militant group.
Israel says it has destroyed more than 300 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon in the past week, with experts warning of a potential regional war between Israel and Iran-backed militant groups.
