This is a preparation for the historical Star exploration mission next year.
China is on track to deploy a Mars exploration mission, Reuters quoted Zhang Kejian, head of Chinas National Space Administration, as saying on November 14 when talking to foreign diplomats and the media before the experiment.
The Mars rover has undergone an experiment to avoid floating obstacles at a space facility in Hebei Province. The area has scattered small rocks to simulate the flat terrain on the surface of the Red planet that the landing ship will have to move to. The experiment also simulates the suction forces of star Hoa to check the design of the landing gear.
In 2016, China officially began a Mars exploration program and is currently making progress on all types of development, Zhang said.
Todays successful experiment marks an important part of the development process. China's first Mars exploration mission is expected to take place in 2020, Zhang said.
The journey through space will take about 7 months, while the landing process will take 7 minutes, said Zhang Rongqiao, chief architect of the Mars exploration program. The landfall will be the most difficult and challenging period, he said.
China has built a powerful Truong Chinh 5 rocket to launch a spacecraft to Mars. The Truong Chinh 5 rocket is also expected to launch the Hang Nga 5 exploration ship to the moon at the end of 2019 or early next year to collect soil and rock samples for China.
Earlier this year, China successfully launched the Hang Nga 4 exploration vehicle into the dark side of the moon. That is the greatest historical achievement of China's space exploration program. China made its first lunar landfall in 2013.
In 2003, China became the third country to send people to space using its own missiles after the former Soviet Union and the US. Since then, the country has been racing to catch up with Russia and the US and become a space power by 2030.
