After 2 years of successful organization, the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024 will continue to take place from August 29 - 31 at the Legend Da Nang Golf Resort with the participation of 144 top golfers from Vietnam and internationally.
With the advantage of owning many world-class golf courses in the region along with the strong development of golf tourism in key international markets, Da Nang has identified the important position of golf tourism in its in-depth market segmentation strategy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong - Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee said that continuously hosting the Asia Development Golf Tournament - BRG Open Golf Championship Danang for 3 years from 2022 to now has contributed to affirming Da Nang's position as the "Leading Event - Festival Destination in Asia".
"At the same time, this is an important milestone in developing the city's golf tourism potential to become one of the leading golf tourism destinations in Asia and the world, contributing to promoting high-quality tourism development, in line with the city's tourism development orientation," Mr. Cuong emphasized.
Mr. Mark Reeves - Deputy General Director of BRG Group - said that the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang is an important part of BRG Group's strategy with the goal of elevating Da Nang to become the leading golf tourism destination in the region and the world.
"This regional-level tournament is a solid foundation to inspire Vietnamese golfers when they have the opportunity to compete directly with top regional talents to clearly define their path towards professional golf," Mr. Mark Reeves said.
The BRG Open Golf Championship Danang is one of the initiatives and cooperative efforts to promote Da Nang golf tourism, reviving tourism economy from 2022 right after the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament is being held for the 3rd time after 2 successful seasons.
Also within the framework of the event, Da Nang will organize a destination survey program and golf tourism products from August 27 - 30 with the participation of golf travel agents from Taiwan (China), Australia, Japan, and Southeast Asian countries; organize a professional - amateur golf exchange tournament (Pro - Ams) and a Da Nang tourism experience program within the framework of the tournament.
