The two days of qualifying competition have witnessed the excellent performance of Vietnamese players. Among them, Bao Phuong Vinh, Tran Quyet Chien and Tran Thanh Luc all led their groups with 2 absolute and convincing victories.
Chiem Hong Thai, although not winning both matches, also led Group M when they drew with opponent Roland Forthomme ( Belgian) 40-40 after 17 turns and defeated Bart Ceulemans ( Belgian) 40-12 after 17 turns. Chiem Hong Thai's scoring efficiency is up to 2,352/turn, ranking among the top of the tournament.
The only Vietnamese player eliminated was Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu when he lost both matches in the tournament.

The two days of qualifying have witnessed many high-quality matches. The best result belongs to Jeremy Bury with 40 points in 11 turns (performance 3,363). Bao Phuong Vinh scored 40 points in 12 turns, right after (3.333), Tayfun Tasdemir scored 40 points in 15 turns (2,666) and 40 points in 16 turns (2,500). Cho Myung-woo and Dick Jaspers also impressed no less when they achieved 40 points in 16 turns.

In the round of 32, the players will compete directly with a score of 50 not in the same turn. The results of the branch show that Tran Quyet Chien will meet Lee Beom-yeol (Korea), Bao Phuong Vinh will face Ozcan Yilmaz (Türkiye), Chiem Hong Thai will meet Kahofer Arnim (authrich) and Tran Thanh Luc will meet umeda Ryuuji.
