The focus of the 11.4 competition day in the selection round 2 is the decisive matches in the groups, to select the last 8 names of the Vietnamese representative to attend the World Cup Carom 3 ice in Ho Chi Minh City in May. The tournament was hosted by the Billiards Federation and Snooker Ho Chi Minh City (HBSF).
In Group B, young player Nguyen Hoai Phong surprised everyone when he beat veteran player Vo Hao Tri. In the first half, Hoai Phong led 1510.
Entering the second half, Hao Tri carefully cut each of his passes to lead 25-21. However, at the end of the match, Hoai Phong took advantage of the better opportunity to win the final score with a score of 30-26.

Some other notable results, Nguyen Hoan Tat beat Le Van Huong. Nguyen Ngoc Son defeated Trinh Quang Huy, Truong Quang Hao defeated Chuong Thanh Nhan and Nguyen Thanh Liem defeated Nguyen Anh Duy.
Thus, after 5 days of dramatic competition, the last 8 places to participate in the Ho Chi Minh City World Cup 2025 for Vietnamese players have been determined. These players will be fully funded by HBSF with World Cup attendance fees (100 Euros). Previously, the first round of selection held in early March determined the first 8 names to the World Cup.
The 3-cushion carom billiards World Cup in Ho Chi Minh City will take place from May 19 to 25. In the official rounds, Vietnam will have the best players participating such as Tran Thanh Luc (recently World Cup champion in Bogota, Colombia), Tran Quyet Chien (4 times crowned at the World Cup), Tran Duc Minh (reigning champion of the tournament), Bao Phuong Vinh, Chiem Hong Thai...
